Arab Urban Development Institute

The Arab Urban Development Institute (AUDI), was founded in May 1998 with permanent headquarters in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. AUDI is a non-profit, non-governmental organization whose primary focus is on five main programmes: City Development Strategy, Capacity Building, Child and Youth, Urban observatories, and poverty reduction. As the technical wing of the Arab Town's Organization (ATO), AUDI conduct training, research, consultation, documentation, and advocacy activities that empower our mission for knowledge dissemination and raising awareness of various aspects pertaining to Urbanization challenges in the Arab World. Having an active membership of over 500 Arab cities and municipalities, with the city mayors of 22 Arab countries constitute the supreme authority of ATO, AUDI aims to enhance the quality of municipal services in Arab towns and cities, adding a new dimension to the development of local urban policies and set up the guidelines towards implementing the sustainable development frameworks in the Arab region.
